We group our plumbing services by where they sit on the property, so you know exactly who to ask for what.

Water pipe repairs cover everything on your side of the meter:

Our gas fitting work is carried out by licensed gasfitters:

From bathroom plumbing to full renovations:

Kitchen and laundry plumbing covers sinks, dishwashers and troughs:
Two bigger jobs sit outside those groups. Hot water plumbing looks after the old storage tanks in the cottages and walk-up units, and blocked drain work deals with the suburb's ageing sewers when they back up.
$0 call-out fees, available 24/7, and same-day where we can.

Home plumbing covers every pipe and fixture from your meters inward: drinking water, gas, and the taps, toilets and appliances they serve. In Margate, the housing runs from early cottages to the apartment blocks behind Margate Beach, and salt-laden breezes off the open bay reach most streets. That salt attacks brass taps, steel pipe clips and exposed copper beneath older timber floors, so fittings here wear out sooner than the same parts would inland.
The suburb keeps changing too. Area-level building approvals added 321 dwellings over five years, and the estimated population grew 4.6 per cent between 2020 and 2025. Volume-built houses and apartments tend to go in fast, and the braided connectors and plastic shut-off valves fitted in a hurry are usually the first things to let go.
Ownership splits at the meter. Unitywater maintains the street mains and the sewer; every pipe on your side of the meter is the owner's to look after. Under the Plumbing and Drainage Act, owners must keep that side in working order, and hiring a licensed plumber is the simplest way to meet the duty.

Fixing a burst pipe, or swapping out a worn fitting, is minor work: one of our licensed plumbers handles it, and no Form 4 or permit is involved. Putting in a fixture that wasn't there before, or shifting one to a new spot, is notifiable work instead. We complete it, send a Form 4 to the QBCC inside ten business days, and give you your own copy.
Two example jobs show the difference:
Gas work has its own rule: only a gasfitter with the right licence can touch gas pipework or appliances, whether that's fitting, fixing or certifying them. Before anyone starts on the gas side, sight their gas work licence. Our gas fitting services page sets out the full range, and the tap and toilet work we do daily sits mostly in the minor-work basket.

Burst pipes, gas you can smell, floodwater through the house and a total loss of water or gas supply can't be left overnight. When a hose lets go upstairs, the flat underneath cops the water, so shutting the supply down quickly is the priority. Our emergency plumber page walks through the first steps for each one.
Plenty of smaller jobs suit a booked appointment instead. Dripping mixers, a slow leak under the laundry tub and a cistern that runs all night are annoying, not urgent, and we slot them into a scheduled visit.

A plumbing bill reflects the fault itself, the parts required, how tight the workspace is and the hours the job takes. Salt air near the beach can seize a fitting that should have been quick to reach, which adds time and parts to a repair. Old copper under a raised cottage takes longer to work on than a pipe clipped to a new garage wall.
A proper written quote itemises the work, the materials and the labour, which lets you stack two quotes against each other. Ours is a fixed figure, and nothing goes ahead until you approve it. The water pipe repairs page covers what's involved in tracing and fixing supply faults.

What to do first when something goes wrong:
We're available 24/7, 7 days a week, and there's no added charge for nights, weekends or public holidays.

Calls in Margate come with $0 call-out fees, and there's no added charge for nights, weekends or public holidays.
Flat-rate pricing with no hidden fees, set out in a fixed quote before any work starts.
Our labour carries a lifetime labour warranty, our Fix-It-or-It's-Free guarantee backs it (T&Cs apply), and if we're late, $100 comes off your bill.
We work under QBCC No: 15024607, licensed and insured, and every job is done by a licensed plumber.

Our run spreads past Margate itself. Woody Point and Clontarf sit next door, and we also cover Redcliffe and Kippa-Ring. The suburbs we cover page lists every address we visit.
No, we don't. Every job comes with $0 call-out fees, with nothing attached to them. You get a fixed quote before any work starts, so the price you approve is the price you pay.
Verify the licence first. The QBCC lets you confirm a plumber's licence online and check that a Form 4 was registered for the property after notifiable work. Then get the work, the materials and the labour in writing, and keep your copy of the Form 4.
Line the quotes up against each other on identical work. Get each plumber to itemise materials and labour, and ask them to talk you through any line that's unclear. An itemised quote is much easier to judge than one bare total.
Only a short list. You may swap a washer or jumper valve inside a tap, fit a new shower head, renew a filter cartridge, or replace the rubbers in a toilet cistern. Fitting a complete new tap or toilet needs a licence, and so does anything on the gas side.
A burst pipe, a gas smell, flood damage or losing your water or gas supply altogether is urgent. Drips, slow leaks and a running cistern can wait for a booked appointment, which we can arrange any day of the week.
No, not for most jobs. Repairs, notifiable work and unregulated work all skip the permit. Permit work, such as plumbing for a brand new house, is the exception, and the plumber handles that application before work begins.
